October Birchbox

My Birchbox came early this month, which is exactly what I was hoping for! The theme for this months box is all about keeping your skin, body, and hair healthy.
{My Leopard Print Nails are the Incoco Strips from my September Birchbox}

Birchbox says: "For starters, keep your hands as pretty as your polish with a mineral-rich cream and boost your makeup with a skin-perfecting primer. There's a silky leave-in conditioner that keeps curls glossy, plus a decadent face serum that can be used alone or mixed with foundation for a dewy glow."

{Juno Transformative Lipid Serum & Laura Geller Tinted Primer}

- Since I already have oily skin, this serum didn't really do anything for my skin, so I gave it to my mom who loves it. The smell was interesting, but other than that it's a good product for older skin types.
- The bronzing primer is my favorite product that came in my box. It looks darker than it really is, and it gives your face a beautiful glow without being too thick.

{Ouidad Leave-In Conditioner, AHAVA Hand Cream, AHAVA Foot Cream}

- The leave-in conditioner smells amazing, and left my hair soft and light.
- My hands tend to get dry in the Fall/Winter months and this hand cream is the perfect size for my purse. It smells good and doesn't leave my hands feeling greasy.
- An extra in this box was the 2 packets of foot cream which leave my feet feeling like I just got a pedicure. So nice!

Butter London Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

If your having some trouble chosing the perfect Fall nail color, this might help you decide. These five shades are gorgeous and affordable.
You can find Butter London shades at NORDSTROM or Ulta for $14. Enjoy!

Image via productgirl
1. Toff : A darker dusty rose pink
    2. Wallis : A tarnished metallic gold
                     3. Bluey : A slightly metallic dark peacock blue
             4. Knees Up : A slightly metallic flirty red
               5. No More Waity Katie : A soft lilac glitter

Nonie Creme says of her collection:
"My inspiration was a variation on jewel tones. Imagine taking a traditional jewel tone palette, then moving each shade about two notes to the left. This means garnet instead of a sapphire, and an olive patina gold instead of a brassy or yellow tone. "

DID YOU KNOW: No More Waity Katie was released in March prior to the Royal Wedding!

Steve Jobs - Fashionable?

It's been 1 week since the death of 56 year old Steve Jobs passed away and his style is being remembered. His wardrobe consisted of black mock St. Croix turtlenecks, Levi's 501 jeans, and New Balance sneakers. Well, since his death last Wednesday, the $175 shirt sales have shot up dramatically. Rumor has it that Steve's wardrobe was so basic so he didn't have to waste time thinking about what to wear. Hmmm. Whatever the case may be, he meant a lot to so many people. I can see why technology junkies and businessmen looked up to him. He was a visionary, innovator, and pioneer!

Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere Interview

College Fashionista sat down with Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere back in April to talk about being a fashion blogger, where she grew up, who inspires her, and her first book that she is currently writing. I am beyond excited for her new book, and future blog posts. She is a huge inspiration to me and many others.

Deborah Lippmann Fall 2011 Collection

Deborah Lippmann is my favorite brand of nail polish, right up there with OPI and Essie. On the negetive side, a bottle costs around $16 which is a tad bit more than I'd like to pay. The quality and packaging is well worth it, and these four new Fall colors will have you excited.

                      1. Stormy Weather   2. Billionaire   3. Single Ladies   4. Brick House
                               (edgy granite)     (hunter green)      (deep red)      (shimmering rust)

DID YOU KNOW: Stormy Weather was a collaboration with Narciso Rodriguez. He wanted something bold with strength and edge, so Deborah mixed a new shade by hand in just 24 hours. Incredible!

As the Fall/Winter weather approaches with rain all this week, I've put together six of my all time favorite blushes/shimmer palettes. There is something about the colors of blush that makes me so happy. Most likely it's because they're pink, my favorite color!
