Apple iPhone 6s - Details

I have been an avid iPhone user ever since I got the iPhone 4 in June of 2010 for a graduation present. It has been the only smart phone that I've ever used considering my first two mobile devices I had previously were flip phones. Yesterday, (Wednesday, September 9th) Apple had their presentation  at the Bill Graham Auditorium in San Francisco that lasted two hours and announced their newest iPhone editions: the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus as well as the newest edition of an iPad and Apple Pencil. Apple's chief executive, Timothy D. Cook, called the new phones "the most advanced smartphone in the world." --Now that's a lot to handle!

So what does the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have to offer?
There is a new Apple A9 processor which is suppose to be 70 percent faster in terms of CPU and tasks, as well as 90 percent faster in terms of graphics compared to the iPhone 6.

In the past, the iPhone 6 was prone to bending which Apple has changed a lot by using 7000 series aluminum to make it way more mechanically strong. When it comes to price with this new device, it is about the same as the iPhone 6 however Apple launched an upgrade program (starting at $32 a month) with this new device. By paying Apple over a 24-month period in the US you pay for the iPhone 6s. After paying for 12-months, you could swap your device to a newer model. This is a really good idea because you are usually opted to sign a 2-year contract with your cell phone provider, so this is an awesome alternative.

Some other exciting changes were in the camera which I was really happy about since I use my phone for everything. The new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will now have a 12 mega-pixel camera. That is a huge jump from the iPhone 6 which has 8 mega-pixels. Other upgrades include: 3D touch (can sense how hard you press on the screen), i0s9 operating system, Live Photos, and a Rose Gold finished option. So you might be wondering what live photos are since it really sparked my interest. Apple's website explains it much better than I can.

Introducing Live Photos: "A still photo captures an instant frozen in time, With Live Photos, you can turn those instants into unforgettable living memories. At the heart of a Live Photo is a beautiful 12-megapixel photo. But together with that photo are the moments just before and after it was taken, captured with movement and sound. You can bring those moments to life anytime simply by pressing anywhere on the photo. You can even set your favorite live photo as your lock screen wallpaper, so you can relive a moment at any time you take your iPhone 6s out of your pocket. And you can view Live photos on your other Apple devices, too."

So they aren't videos just pictures that can come to life as you scroll through them. That is kind of AH-MAZ-ING!

On top of taking 4K videos, the FaceTime front-facing camera is going to have a 5 mega-pixel camera compared to a 1.5 that the iPhone 6 has and a bright flash for the limitless selfies you'll be taking. Usually Apple doesn't really upgrade their "S" model phones that much, but all these new features are definitely more than I was expecting.

If you are an iPhone lover like myself then I'm sure you're stoked about this new release too!
I will be getting the new rose gold color which will match my jewels perfectly.
You can PRE-ORDER the iPhone 6s or 6s Plus on September 12th and it will be available for purchase on September 25th.
