Givenchy Opens New York Fashion Week To The Public

OH MY GOODNESS! Riccardo Tisci is bringing Givenchy to New York Fashion Week for the first time. The Spring/Summer 2016 show will be open to the public, and free tickets will be available for fans, and fashion students. Say what?!

According to WWD, Givenchy will be giving away 1,200 tickets, 280 of those will be set aside for fashion students, and faculty at FIT, and Parsons. But if you act fast, tickets are available as a first come, first serve basis online at

The seats for these tickets will be away from celebrities and other higher-up individuals in the fashion industry in a raised viewing seating area. The venue has not been announced yet, until the show is closer to the actual date on September 11th.

Tisci has almost 1 million Instagram followers making him one of the most active French creative directors on social media. This is such a rare moment for such a well-known top tier fashion designer to open up to the public like this. Hurry, because these tickets are going to go fast, if they aren't already gone. If I lived in New York I would be there in a heartbeat. So for all of you New-Yorkers and some of my really close friends, I'm jealous!
