All Hallows Eve

I love when Halloween lands on a weekend. It makes things a lot more fun and so much easier that way. Usually I'd be attending a rather large party (or three) and have had my costume planned months in advanced, but this year is a lot different. I don't know if it's because the day came really fast this year or if maybe once in a while it's okay to just chill. Justin and I are headed to our friends (Katie and Kyle's) house to BBQ, carve pumpkins, and have a scary movie marathon. A rather chill night to say the least, but I am "A-OK" with that.

Every year I carve a pumpkin, but it never turns out the way I want it to. It might be that my fear of knives gets in the way of doing crazy and complex designs, but this year I wanted to create a designer themed pumpkin. I've always loved the look of the Chanel carved pumpkin, maybe I'll try something similar this year. For the first time in a long time, I'm not wearing a costume this year. Last year I was a nerd, and the year before I was a squirrel, and then three years ago I was a french maid. Next year might just be the year where I'll wear something crazy, but we'll see.

What are you up to this Halloween night?
What are some costumes that you'll  be wearing?
Whatever it is you'll be doing tonight, have fun, and be careful.

Don't get sick off too much candy!

Oregon/Washington Travel Guide

My boyfriend Justin and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Vancouver and Portland a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to share with you some of the places we visited.

This was my second time visiting since one of my best friends moved there and it was only for a short amount of time. She lives in downtown Vancouver which is only about 10 miles from Portland so you get the best of both world.

Especially since there is no tax in Oregon, that makes it a plus for sure! Portland reminds me of San Francisco a little bit, and then downtown Vancouver is very relaxing and beautiful. You get to see beautiful views of Mount Hood and Mount Shasta as well as take in the nice and cool weather. I put together a small travel guide of ten places we went while we were on our trip. Hope you enjoy!

1. Sizzle Pie - 926 W. Burnside St. Portland, Oregon 97214
We randomly discovered this gem while walking to the book store. We were hungry and decided to stop in for a slice of pizza. The outside decor is also what really brought us in. This local chain of hip pizzerias is known for their creative pies featuring gourmet toppings, thin crust, vegan dishes, many beers, and loud music.

2. Multanomah Falls - Portland, Oregon
Before our trip I was browsing the internet looking for places to hike to with some pretty views and this is the first place that popped up. It's a two-tiered waterfall (which happens to be the tallest in Oregon) on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge, located East of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, along the Historic Columbia River Highway. Benson Bridge recognizes as a centerpiece of history built in 1914, and is probably the most photographed piece of architecture in Oregon.

3. Powell's City of Books - 1005 W. Burnside Street Portland, Oregon 97209
My best friend Heather and her husband Chris absolutely love books so they decided to show us this historic bookstore. It was so big that, lets just say it's the department stores of all bookstores and probably the biggest one I've ever been into. It was a little overwhelming with the amount of people and tourists but it was a great site to experience.  It's the largest independent chain of bookstores in the world, and when you visit the flagship store in Portland, you for sure need a map to navigate through the multi-level building which takes up an entire city block.

4. Voodoo Doughnut - 22 SW 3rd Avenue Portland, Oregon 97204
These world famous doughnut shops are based in Portland are are known for their unusual doughnuts, eclectic decor, and iconic pink boxes featuring the company logo and illustrations of voodoo priests. I first saw one of their doughnut shops featured on the Food Network channel and have always wanted to visit ever since. Don't get me wrong there is nothing better than a hot glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut right off the press, but Voodoo's maple bacon bar might just beat that.

5. Guardian Games - 345 SE Taylor Street Portland, Oregon 97214
I never knew gaming stores like this even existed. One word: NERD. When you walk into the doors of Guardian Games it is a whole new world, that is literally what it feels like. It's a large gaming store that offers a variety of tabletop, board, video, and role-playing games. They even have tables set up in the middle and back part of the store for you to play there without even leaving. Any "game" you'd ever want is probably located in this store.

6. Black Rock Coffee Bar - 7710 NE 5th Avenue Ste 122 Vancouver, Washington
This quaint coffee shop is not only cute, but has some of the best tasting coffee I've ever had. I love their blended drinks (caramel blondie) and I tasted their Fall pumpkin spice latte and yes, it is much better than Starbucks.. shocking right?!

7. Angelina's Pizzeria & Cafe - 300 S. Roosevelt Drive Suite 8 Seaside, Oregon 97138
This gem is a well kept secret, that serves some pretty amazing pizza. The location is right near the beach so you can still get a wiff of that nice sea salt air while you munch on some NY style pies. They serves other Italian dishes such as calzones, with gourmet toppings. YUM!

8. Clackamas Shopping Mall - 12000 SE 82nd Avenue Happy Valley, Oregon 97086
Although this mall has a Happy Valley mailing address, this two-level mall is located in the Clackamas area and has about 185 stores and services. If you're looking to visit a mall close to the Portland area, this is forsure the one you want to stop at. There is also a Dave and Buster's right next door so you can get some dinner and play games after a long day of shopping.

9. Nike Factory Outlet Store - 1111 N. Roosevelt Drive Suite 400 Seaside, Oregon 97138
The closest Nike outlet to my house is about 45 minutes away (in Tulare) and it is literally not even worth going to. You could buy a pair of Nike shoes from Kohls and a pair of Nike yoga pants at Nordstrom Rack cheaper than what you could purchase them for at the Tulare Nike Outlet.

10. Bridge of the Gods
This is a steel truss bridge that spans the Columbia River between Cascade Locks, Oregon and Washington State near North Bonneville. It's only about 40 miles east of Portland. The Pacific Crest Trail crosses this bridge and has also been featured in the movie Wild starring Reese Witherspoon, I really wanted to visit this bridge after seeing it in the film. The pictures made it seem like it was beautiful and peaceful, and it was just that, and so much more in person.

These ten places listed above were just some of the few that we visited that were a little more popular. We also drive through the cute town of Astoria and spent some good quality time in downtown Vancouver as well as hung out by the Columbia River and walked along the trail. If you've never been to the city of Portland or even Vancouver, you should add it to your bucket list, because it is a really beautiful sight to see as well as an affordable place to vacation.

Spreading The Love with Paperless Post

As the holiday season approaches, it's time to start thinking about what your cards are going to look like and where you're going to get them from. Personally, I love sending cards just as much as I love receiving them, not just during the holidays but all year round.

I have friends and family all over the world, that's just part of life, and keeping in touch with them is just as important as the people you see on a regular basis. I send paper cards to my closest friends at least once a month, on top of speaking on the phone.

Spreading warmth and happiness during the holiday season is a little more important and affectionate because it's the time of year where you wish that you could spend time with all of the people you care about. Even though that is merely impossible, you can still make them feel like you're thinking of them by sending an e-card, paper card, or even a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
(Image via Paperless Post: Rifle Paper Co. Collection)
I was recently introduced to an amazing company called Paperless Post which is a design-focused online platform that provides paperless and paper invitations, cards, and stationary for all of life's important moments. You can sign up for Paperless Post for free and browse all of their one-of-a-kind designs. You are automatically given 25 "coins" when you sign up, and then you can purchase more which starts at 20 coins for $6. There are hundreds of cards, invitations, and stationary designs to choose from ranging from every holiday imaginable and the best part is that you can customize each one.
(Image via Paperless Post: Kate Spade collection)
Power siblings and founders James and Alexa Hirschfield started this company in 2007 and launched the start-up in 2009 which branched into an extremely successful business. Paperless Post has even teamed up with well know fashion designers including: Kate Spade New York, Mr. Boddington's Studio, Rifle Paper Co, Sugar Paper, Kelly Wearstler, Linda & Harriett, as well as Oscar de la Renta.

"Communication is an extension of personal style: how you say something is often as important as what is being said. Paperless Post modernizes the tradition of correspondence and helps you create cards and invitations that reflect an individuals aesthetic."

One of the main tips I have for eliminating stress during the holiday season is by starting early. November is right around the corner which gives us about two months until Christmas. I always start planning my holiday parties and start making my Christmas card lists way in advance. That way you aren't in ant rush. Another trick is to make sure you have all your supplies ready for shipping and sending items. I like to buy a few books of stamps ahead of time, and have everything laid out.

Paperless Post is also very popular when it comes to online cards, which also makes it a lot more convenient for you as well. I am happy that I now know about this company because I am a huge lover of all things stationary, especially cards.

They also have a pretty big celebrity following as well. Kirsten Dunst used it for her 30th Birthday party, the Obama administration used it for events during the 2012 re-election campaign, and Will and Kate even used Paperless Post invitations for prince Georges's christening. Sounds pretty cool to me, I definitely recommend checking them out and designing some cards of you're own. Just visit their direct link and trust me, you'll be on their site for hours!

Barkbox - October 2015

RUFF.... RUFF!!! It's time to open the furchild's first subscription box this month!
Reddick got his first Barkbox in the mail last week and  both him and I were very happy with it. It was was a Halloween themed box which included cute orange-themed wrapping paper as well as some pumpkin treats and a few other toys and goodies.

At first I was a little bit hesitant to order this box because I didn't think it would be worth the money. Usually I buy dog treats at Pet Smart occasionally when they are on sale. Reddick is really hard on his toys and destroys them quickly so I rarely buy those, but after seeing what came in my friends boxes, the toys that came inside kind of sold me.

Reddick's October Barkbox Included:
Hyper Pet Cozy Krinkle Bear - $12 "This squeaky, multi-textured toy is almost too much fun to BEAR! And the pawfect cuddle buddy for naptime."

Petmate Max Glow Chuckit Ball - $8 "Nighttime doesn't mean the end of playtime this fall. Pups can chase down the visible glow for hours of fun."
Healthy Dogma Pumpkin Ginger Flavor Barker Biscuits - $8 "These spooky pumpkin biscuits are made simply, with no additives or artificial fillers."

Emerald Pet Products Salmon Little Chewzzies - $7 "Snack away! These treats are less than five calories each and contain zero artificial ingredients, colors, or flavors."
Pet Qwerks Peanut Butter Flavorit - $8 "Fill the "flavor cells" with spreads like cheese, peanut butter, or pumpkin. Then let your pup go to town on this edible nylon chew, made in the USA."

If you'd like to get a Barkbox of your own: Click THIS LINK to get an additional FREE BOX when you sign up!

The Intern - Film Review

I don't think I've ever done a film review on my blog before, but it's something that I'd like to start doing a little more frequently. I enjoy going to the movies, and I love hearing about new movies that are pretty good recommendations.

I was actually invited to the screening of this film in New York but was unable to make it since I was in California and it was a bit last minute. But I managed to make it to the theater last week and I really liked it.

The film is about a "70-year-old widower Ben Whittaker (Robert DeNiro) who has discovered that retirement isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Seizing the opportunity to get back in the game, he becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site, founded and run by Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway)."

Even though this is a total female-targeted and adult-skewing workplace comedy, and so called chic-flick, I loved the relationship of Ben and Jules as it was a total heart-felt film. Jules is, at first, reluctant to take on Ben as her intern, but she quickly realized his value and the became as close as "family" by the end of the film.

The writer and director of this film (Nancy Meyers) has scored a number of commercial successes (including It's Complicated, and Something's Gotta Give) by going against the grain and making movies centered on women and aimed at older audiences. I went to see this film on a Thursday in the middle of the day, and there were only about fifteen people in the theater with me, and all of them were couples ranging from 50-65 years old (hence the total target audience of this film).

Anne Hathaway in this film reminded me a lot of her character played in The Devil Wear's Prada in 2006. It's a fashion-based film however; it played out as more of a family-friendly story line. I definitely recommend you to see this film. It's a nice change from a lot of the film's Hollywood is making. It's not over-the-top or extremely over done!

QVC Christmas Advent Calendar 2015

I get really excited during the winter months because I know that's when beauty companies are going to release a bunch of limited edition items and collections.

Advent calendars are one of my favorite things to purchase before December because it is so much fun to be able to open a box every day.

Caffeine with Christine (10/25)

UPDATE: So I have to address that this is the longest that I've gone without posting anything since June. Since I've pretty much put up a post every day for the last four months being computer-less is driving me crazy. Computer-less? YES. You're probably wondering why....

Well, Justin and I returned from vacation on Monday night.
I took my laptop with us on the trip (which was the worst idea ever) and let's just say the it didn't handle the plane ride so well. I had my laptop in my carry-on which had to be taken out during security, and then put back in, which was then thrown under the plane. Let's just say I didn't keep it with me like I should have and the display went out.

I am currently using my iPad, but cannot upload pictures from it so this is what we're going to have to work with for the next week or two while my laptop is being repaired. Since it's under warranty, I will be shipping it to the company and then waiting for them to repair it and ship it back to me. I will also have access to another laptop that is not mine for the time being, so hopefully I'll have time to get some work done.

Justin and I had such an amazing time in Washington and Oregon and I cannot wait to share pictures as soon as I can get them up.

A great company called Paperless Post has contacted me so hopefully I'll be able to get that post up soon. Next week I will be traveling for work so I have another jam-packed schedule. I recently saw the movie The Intern which was super cute, so look forward to a film review on that soon.

I hope you're having a lovely weekend. It's kind of been a bit stressful for me without my laptop (AKA my life) since I feel naked without it and a whole lot less productive.
Have a great Sunday... go out and do something fun!

Caffeine with Christine (10/18)

Greetings from Vancouver! It is so nice to be reunited with my best friend Heather and her husband Chris. We arrived Thursday night and have been having the best time. It has been in the sixties and seventies during the day and then gets down to the forties and fifties during the night. So far, it's only rained once (today) just for a little bit. So we've had some amazing weather.

The food and drinks here are outrageous. We are staying in Vancouver, Washington which is about ten miles from Portland, Oregon so we have been going back and forth every day. Heather and Chris live right on the Columbia River which also has a gorgeous view of Mount Hood. I've had probably too many doughnuts and enough coffee to keep me awake for a century, but it's okay. That's what vacations are for, right?!

We had a smooth flight, and arrived at PDX airport around 9pm. We were starving and didn't have time to eat dinner so we immediately stopped at a Five Guys to eat something! Friday we spent the entire day hiking up to Multanomah Falls which was so beautiful. Later, we met up with Justin's friend Ryan in Clackamas, did a little shopping and then got dinner, drinks, and played a few games at Dave and Busters! Yesterday went spent the majority of the day in Portland after getting Voodoo Doughnuts. We got to see the famous Powells Bookstore, eat some bomb pizza, and visited a pretty cool gaming store. We are headed to the beach right now. There are a few gorgeous beaches on the Oregon Coast which are only a couple hours away.

I'm sad to say that we leave tomorrow night. I definitely don't want to come home, it has been too nice here. I will be posting a ton of photos of our trip on Tuesday when we get home. Have a lovely Sunday!

Chantecaille Beauté

Family owned beauty brand - Chantecaille is a "luxury brand for serious skincare and beautifying cosmetics known for it's uniquely high concentration of natural botanicals." Biotechnology is used along with Chinese medicine, aromatherapy, and European flower pharmacology with a blend of natural elements.

They just released a new eye product: The Protect The Wolves Eye Shade Trio $70 which you can purchase at multiple department stores including - NORDSTROM, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Bergdorf Goodman as well as their own website.
The three beautiful shades range from a iridescent gray of the darkening sky, a silvery beige the same shade as the wolves coat, to an emerald green plucked from the pine boroughs.

A portion of proceeds from the sale of this eye trio and a coordinating blush will be donated to Conservation Northwest, which helps protect gray wolves - once endangered and still a threatened species - in part by providing ranchers with nonlethal tools to keep the animals away from their cattle.

"We've learned from the Natural Resources Defense Council that wolves actually improve the environment", says the company's vice president of sales. "Their presence keeps levels of grazing animals in check, boosting plant and tree growth." Since 2006 Chantecaille has been creating beauty products like this limited edition collection to support eco-friendly causes.

"Subsequent "Cause-metics" Collections have been launched as Chantecaille's continued passion and commitment to the oceans and to endangered species grows stronger and stronger."

Something really important to recognize is that none of Chantecaille's products are tested on animals. All skincare products are free of synthetic colors and fragrances, and do not contain any sulfate detergents, nor petrochemicals. Not only are the products beautiful to look at, but it's nice knowing that the products are actually helping endangered species as well as not harming others.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Think Pink

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month if you didn't already know, which is basically like an annual monthly campaign to make people more aware about the disease. Breast cancer is the secondly leading cause of death among women in the world, and it is very important for women to detect it early by getting breast exams by their physicians.

Cancer is a disease that has killed a lot of people in my family. My maternal grandmother died from breast cancer and my father almost died when I was a baby from breast cancer. You can donate to National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation to help find a cure, and help people suffering from cancer.

I put together a collage of all things pink, which are also products that will donate money for every purchase to help find a cure. Pink is my favorite color, so naturally causing awareness is easy for me! On the plus side, look how cute these nails are.

Prettiest Eyeshadow Palettes For Fall

It may seem like spending over $50 for eye shadow would be a little ridiculous but there is actually a big difference between drugstore palettes and high-end palettes.

My eyelids tend to get creased and oily easy, but with palettes like these, I can experiment with gorgeous eye shadow looks. Even without primer, high-end shadows stay on longer and have stronger pigmentation than the cheap ones.

Another really great benefit of a nice eye shadow palette is how long it will last you, and the endless amount of options you have with all of the different shades.

I own the Urban Decay Naked 2 and 3 palettes, a Tarte palette that I've had for over four years, and another Urban Decay Limited Edition palette along with some other small ones too, and I love them all. If there are two makeup items I will always splurge on, it would be blush, and eye shadow palettes because they are a good investment in your beauty routine.

Below are some of the most raved about palettes of the year with some outstanding colors to work with. I'd love to own all six of these palettes in the future. If you are interested in purchasing these gorgeous palettes then you can find most of them at SephoraUlta, and Macy's

ULTA Beauty Wishlist

Earlier this week on Monday, my friend Allison and I went to get our nails done at our usual salon. We grabbed some lunch at Antonio's and then she had an eyebrow waxing appointment scheduled afterwards at ULTA.

I hadn't been to ULTA in a long time. So long that I didn't even know that they carry Lancome which I am stoked about. While I was waiting for her, I got to swatch a lot of products and smell some new Fall scents.

I picked out ten products that I'm putting on my wishlist to purchase soon. Some of them are repeating favorites like the Smashbox Primer and Tarte Lip Surgence that I just can't live without. I was introduced to the new Benefit Air Patrol by Amy Lynn Thompson's YouTube video recently and when I got to see it and swatch the product in person, I could tell what the hype was about.

I've owned the Tarte Park Avenue Princess Bronzer for a few years now and it is a staple in my collection, and I know their blush would be a good investment as well. With this blush set you get every color you'll ever need. I have heard nothing but amazing things about the Too Faced Born This Way foundation and when I swatched it on my hand I loved the creaminess and coverage it gave my skin, so I am excited to try that soon.

I am obsessed with keeping my skin moisturized and smelling good all year round and Soap and Glory is one of my favorite brands that does a good job with covering both of those things. I have bought about five tubes of their "Hand Food" and it is my all time favorite hand cream. If you give me anything that smells like vanilla I'll love you forever. The Philosophy Buttercream smells like sugar cookies baking in an oven. YUM! I am so excited to be purchasing some of these new beauty goodies soon.

All ten beauty products pictured below can be purchased at ULTA!!!!
-- With any $75 online purchase you get a free 15 pieces beauty bag worth $125!
-- With any Urban Decay purchase you get FREE SHIPPING on your entire order!

Happy Shopping!
P.S. Justin and I are leaving for Washington tomorrow and will be gone for a week. There are scheduled posts that will be updated every morning. When I return on Tuesday I will share vacation details and photos along with a possible Vancouver/Portland travel guide.
Tah Tah for now.. xoxo -Christine

Instagram vs. Apple in Free The Nipple Movement

If you're a fellow "Instagrammer" like myself (go follow me) then you've probably noticed the abundance of celebrities that have taken part in this whole #FreeTheNipple campaign by photoshopping male nipples on women's bodies, so on and so forth. Well, head of the company explains himself, and it might not be what you were expecting.

"Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom has blamed Apple for the apps controversial stance on nipples of the female variety, in his first public statement regarding the #FreeTheNipple movement on October 6th."

"[Instagram] is committed to artistic freedom", he told The Business Insider, but "in order to scale effectively, there are [some] tough calls". The tough call in question is, according to Systrom, abiding by Apple's company standards, which won't include apps that feature nudity unless they are specified as "adults only".

*WARNING*(Unimportant Rant About My Recent Apple Story)
For example, I've been an Apple product user ever since I got my first iPhone in 2010. Now that being said, all of this time I have gone through my cell phone service provider to get that phone (AT&T) and have never gone through Apple directly with anything. That changed this year, actually two weeks ago to be exact, when the new iPhone 6s was released. Apple is strict. Like really, really strict. By that I mean that with the new Apple Upgrade program to purchase the phone, you must meet the requirements. They might not sound horrible, but in my case, it was a real pain in the ass. Apple states that you must use a credit card to purchase the phone. That's all fine and dandy, but you also must have the same address on your credit card which matches your driver's license. Sure, I have that. Well no. Apple doesn't accept a P.O. Box (which is what I have listed on EVERYTHING) so that was a bit of a problem. Luckily, I was able to get in touch with my step-father who eventually just put the phone on his credit card. Apple told us in the store that once the transaction is complete that we could take his card off, and put mine on to continue the payments. I later found out by the loan company (CitizenOne) that his name is on the account and his card must stay on the account and cannot be changed. Now, I'm having to write him a check every month which is alright, but I would have preferred if my phone was under my own name. It was all over a P.O. Box which frankly I think is a little silly.

"ICYMI, the #FreeTheNipple movement came about after it was realized that Instagram removed pictures featuring female nipples but not pictures with male nipples. This has been causing people to photoshop male nipples on female bodies, and posting pictures of taped nipples, and wearing clothing with #FreeTheNipple across the chest for protesting reasons.

"Because Instagram is offered in the App Store, it must be designated an age rating - in this case, 12+. An app is only allowed to permit nudity if it's rating is 17+."

Not really sure who is to blame on this one except for maybe society. To be clear, nipples are not sexual organs. Yes, they may be larger than men with surrounding breast tissue, but if anything can be learned from Instagram and Apple's censorship tactics, it's that the female body is overtly sexualized. In order to truly free the nipple (which may never happen), it's American society at least that needs to reconsider the censorship laws.

Caffeine with Christine (10/11)

I am extra caffeinated this morning because this is the only day I have to get stuff done before our vacation to Vancouver, Washington. I have some major errands to run. Our flight leaves on Thursday at 5PM meaning I am going to be rushing and going straight from work, so I have to make sure I am packed and ready.

A little while back I came across an Instagram account that I fell in love with and thought I'd share it with you. Nicole Duenke makes handmade letter mugs and paper goods from Ohio and sells them on her Etsy Morning Sunshine Shop. I love collecting coffee cups, especially unique and cute mugs that mean something to me and her mugs are just so darling, I love them all. I definitely recommend you check out her shop.

Lately, I've really been enjoying my coffee with some Coffee Mate seasonal creamers (mostly pumpkin spice, and peppermint mocha). I've also really been enjoying Starbucks new toasted graham latte, but it's not as good as the chestnut praline latte they bring out in the Winter.

I have a lot of exciting posts coming up including: my favorite palettes for Fall, breast cancer awareness month, and maybe even some new hot chocolate products. This week is probably going to go by really fast which is alright because I am looking forward to this week long vacation to escape this Fresno heat and enjoy some cooler weather.

What are some of your favorite drinks to drink this Fall season? Are you a coffee or tea drinker? I'd love to know. Here are the 3 mugs that I am especially loving from Nicole's shop. Her writing is just impeccable and the phrases are too cute.

Now I must start my day and get stuff done. I hope you have a fantastic and productive Sunday!

Chanel Spring/Summer 2016 - PFW

Welcome to Chanel Airlines.

Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais into a mock airport terminal complete with baggage check, numbered gates, a departures and arrivals board (listing past Chanel destination show locales), and baggage carts stamped with double-C logos.

Edie Campbell opened the show in a multi-colored tweed jumpsuit with silver sandals and a silvery headband, toting a black Chanel rolling suitcase and carryall. One dress was patterned like an arrivals board, and a sweater and pair of knit pants was set in a repeating airplane pattern.

There were baseball caps worn backwards, and models who had their hair pulled back into two low pigtails at the back of their neck.

"Lagerfeld sent out an array of silvery sandals and lace-up boots, but the footwear that really caught the eye of guests were the light up velcro sandals. The second part of the show transitioned into bohemian looks with lightweight fabrics, tulle color block dresses with jackets and multiple layers at the hems.

The show ended with Karl Lagerfeld coming out for his bow, and then being escorted by Cara Delevingne, and Hudson Kroenig who was dressed as a pilot.

Karl Lagerfeld always coming up with out of the box themes for ways to show his collection. It's a show that I always look forward to twice a year. The Grand Palais has been transformed into some incredible experiences -- a Chanel grocery store, Antarctica, the dessert, around the globe, and much much more.

Now that New York and Paris Fashion Week have ended, and we've seen all the trends for next Spring, now it's time to look forward to awards season and I couldn't be more excited!
