Have A Beautiful Weekend

What are your plans for the weekend?
I got off early today and spend a few hours in the backyard with Justin. He roto-tillered the rest of the garden so we can get ready to plant some vegetable seeds. We have had the most beautiful weather all week (in the mid 70's) so all I've been wanting to do is spend my time outside. I plan on watching the entire season of "Fuller House" which was released today and definitely spend a lot of time at Woodward with Reddick. Do you have a SnapChat? I've been having way too much fun with the filters and have been totally obsessed with it the past few weeks. Add me @christinemwest if you'd like to be entertained!

Have a good weekend, here are some fun links from around the web for you to take a look at. Enjoy!

Would you try period panties? I'm intrigued.

Fun with Television

Fall/Winter TV shows seem to be the best. Maybe because the shows are really good this season, and maybe because it feels so good to snuggle up under a blanket in this cold weather. I have a wide variety of different shows because I enjoy watching anything from comedies to reality, with a mix of science fiction.

My Top 15 Television Shows I Can't Get Enough Of

Vanderpump Rules - Monday's on BRAVO (4 Seasons)
A reality television series featuring The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmember Lisa Vanderpump and her staff at Vanderpump's West Hollywood restaurant, SUR.

The Bachelor - Monday's on ABC (19 Seasons)
This reality show is either loved or hated by many people. Some people think it's completely fake and stupid, and others (like myself) actually enjoy this "dating game show" in hopes of watching other find love.

Chicago PD - Wednesday's on NBC (3 Seasons)
The main reason I wanted to start watching this show was because of actress Sophia Bush. "This show follows District 21 of the Chicago Police Department  which is composed of the uniformed cops who deal with street crimes, and the Intelligent Unit which deals with major crimes like drug trafficking and high-profile murders. Sgt. Hank Voight -- a tough boss who doesn't mind bending the rules a little in the pursuit of justice -- heads the unit's elite team. The responsibilites of life on the force take a toll on the officers, as they struggle to balance their personal lives with the strain of the job."

Young & Hungry - Wednesday's on FreeForm (3 Seasons)
"Feisty young food blogger Gabi is desperate for a job. When she finds out wealthy tech entrepreneur Josh needs a personal chef, she wants the position. But Gabi must prove herself to Josh's aide, Elliot, who would rather have his boss hire a famous chef. Gabi gets help from her best friend Sophia and Josh's housekeeper, Yolanda, in order to turn the opportuniy into employment...And maybe love."

Teen Wolf - Tuesday's on MTV (5 Seasons)
High School student Scott McCall is walking in the woods one night and encounters a creature. He is bitten on the side of his face, and his life is changed forever. Is he a human or a warewolf? Or a little bit of both? This sci-fi drama follows the life of Scott and his mischievous friends who also happen not to be all human.

Undercover Boss - Friday's on CBS (7 Seasons)
"High-level executives secretly go undercover within their own companies to find out how things really work, and what their employees really think of them. The series utilizes hidden cameras to provide an authentic view of the executive's journey's. They learn more about their company, as well as get to know some of their employee's on a personal level." In the end, they gift the employees with things that will change their lives forever. I have to admit that I cry during almost every episode I watch. It's really remarkable at some of the great things these CEO's do for people.

Shark Tank - Friday's on ABC (7 Seasons)
"Entrepreneurs get the chance to present their ideas to "the sharks in the tank" -- Kevin O'Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner, and Mark Cuban. The contestants try to convince the sharks to invest money in their company or idea. When more than one shark wants to invest, a bidding war can erupt, driving up the price of the investment."

The Shannara Chronicles - Tuesday's on MTV (1 Season)
"Based on the best-selling fantasy book series by Terry Brooks. "The Shannara Chronicles" follows heroes in the Four Land's as they embark on a quest to stop an evil Demon army from destroying the universe. Thousands of years after the fall of humankind, the world's fate rests on the shoulders of an unlikely trioL Elvin Princess Amberle, who dreams of a life outside of the palace walls ; beautiful, wild, and wily Human Rover Eretria, and half-elf Wil, who knows nothing of the great destiny that runs through his veins."

Better Call Saul - Monday's on AMC (2 Seasons)
"He wasn't always Saul Goodman, ace attorney for chemist-turned-meth dealer Walter White. Six years before he begins to represent Albuquerque's most notorious criminal, Goodman is Jimmy McGill, a small-time attorney hustling to make a name for himself. He's a forceful champion for his low-income clients, an underdog whose morals and ambitions often clash. Jimmy worls with private eye Mike Ehrmantraunt, a former Philadelphia cop and recent transplant to the Southwest. Milke has a specialized skill set -- he's a "fixer" of sticky situations --that Jimmy soon learns to appreciate."

Chrisley Knows Best - Friday's on USA (4 Seasons)
"Todd Chrisley is a self-made millionaire who has a seemingly great life in Atlanta with wife Julie, and their five children. He runs the family with an iron fist and micromanages family members." It's hilarious to watch their life on camera with their bold personalities.

Venom Hunters - Wednesday's on Discovery (1 Season)
"This reality show follows 4 brave teams of expert snake hunters who have the guts and skills to chase down the world's most venomous snakes and collect this highly toxic liquid. Each team has unique motivations and thrives on the thrill of the hunt, but they all share the same goal; saving the lives of others."

Shades of Blue - Thursday's on NBC (1 Season)
"Jennifer Lopez stars as New York detective Harlee Santos, a single mother who runs with a group of dirty cops, taking her cut of the bribes and protection money to give her bright and promising daughter the best life possible and a leg up for a better future. However, all good things must come to an end and she is caught by the FBI, which forces her to turn informant on her cop family. Harlee struggles to walk a line between loyalty, honor, and betrayal, all the while working to keep everything together for her daughter."

Duck Dynasty - Wednesday's on A&E (9 Seasons)
"The Robertsons own and operate Duck Commanders, which specializes in fabricating duck calls and decoys out of salvaged swamp wood. The company has grown from a mom-and-pop operation to a multimillionaire sporting empire, established in 1973 by family patriarch Phil (aka the Duck Commander) and now run by his business-savvy son, Willie. The show follows the family and the business and their down-to-earth personalities."

Fit To Fat To Fit - Tuesday's on A&E (1 Season)
"This reality show follows 10 trainers as they radically alter their diets and refrain from exercising in order to gain weight over a four-month period, then pairs them with an obese client to begin a four-month challenge to shed the pounds together."

Guy and Hunter's European Vacation - Friday's on Food Network (1 Season)
"Father and son Guy and Hunter Fieri are embarking on the ultimate food-filled adventure, trekking through Europe on the hunt for unique culinary experiences."

If you're looking for some shows to watch or any new series to start then these are some of the ones that I recommend. What shows are you currently watching? I'd love to know!

New Rachael Ray Nutrish Dog Food

I received Rachael Ray's Nutrish Healthy Dog Food in the mail thanks to Influenster and could not be more excited. I have a (almost) two year old black lab mix named Reddick who loves to eat, so I was sure that he was going to love this. Recently these past few months he's been eating  Kirkland's Signature Nature's Domain Salmon and Sweet Potato because it is a healthy alternative for a good price.

Since we got him at three months old he has only ate dry food so we definitely wanted to keep him on that. I'm trying to do more research with better quality dog food because you wouldn't believe some of the horrible ingredients they put in pet food these days. My dog is a part of my life and I want him to be eating the best ingredients he can get.

I like to watch the Rachael Ray show occasionally, she can make magic in the kitchen. I was interested to see that she branched out into the pet world. Most importantly she combined natural, healthy, ingredients in all her food products to ensure a happy and healthy pet.

I got the Beef and Brown Rice with Fruit and Veggies Recipe!
-- This high quality protein provides essential nutrients to help support healthy organs and lean muscle mass.
-- Brown Rice is an excellent source of essential B Vitamins and wholesome fiber.
-- Flaxseed & Poultry Fat are naturally rich sources of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids.
-- Cranberries are natural sources of fiber, Vitamin A & Vitamin C to help keep your dog's immune system strong.
-- Real Chicken Pieces are slow-roasted with a delicious real meat texture and hickory smoke flavor.
-- Crisp Carrots offer a tasty crunch with excellent sources of carotenoids, essential vitamins and minerals.
-- Garden & Field Peas are excellent sources of essential vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber to support healthy digestion, and naturally gluten free.
-- Farm-Grown Potatoes are easily digestible alternative carbohydrates.
-- Tree-Ripened Apples are a delicious source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and dietary fiber.

I filled Reddick's Slow-Feeding Bowl up and you could see the real carrots and other veggies mixed with the kibble. Reddick is over 100 pounds, we think he's mixed with Great Dane but he is a rescue so we can't be too sure. He eats so fast which is why we had to buy him a more complex bowl to eat out of. Rachael Ray's Nutrish Dog Food is medium-sized which actually made him eat slower than usual which is better. I was nervous that he would eat around the carrots but he ate it all right away. I didn't even have to mix it with anything! I will definitely reccommed you try Rachael Ray's Nutrish Products.

Beef, Chicken Meal, Dried Peas, Brown Rice, Brewers Rice, Poultry Fat (preserved with Mixed Tocopherols), Flaxseed, Pea Protein, Cranberries, Natural Flavor, Dried Carrots, Dried Apples, Dried Potatoes, Chicken, Salt, Zinc Proteinate, Menhaden Fish Oil, Vitamin E Supplement, Glycerin, Iron Proteinate, Sunflower Oil, Choline Chloride, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (Source of Vitamin C), Brown Sugar, Manganese Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Niacin, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin A Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Calcium Iodate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid.

Caffeine with Christine (2/21)

Good Morning, and Happy Sunday!

on today's agenda:
-- 6 mile hike with Reddick at Woodward
-- laundry for the rest of the week
-- try out a new espresso shop with Justin
-- complete some online work
-- catch up on YouTube subscriptions
-- wash and detail car
-- meal prep lunches for the week

I literally cannot believe this month is almost over. It feels like this year is already going by faster than I can comprehend. There are a few things that I am especially looking forward to next week, including the 88th Academy Awards which airs February 28th, and a new Netflix original series.

I am soo soo excited for "Fuller House" which debuts next Friday the 26th. In "Fuller House," the the adventures that began in 1987 on "Full House" continue, with veterinarian D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) who is recently widowed and living in San Francisco. D.J.'s younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.'s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy's feisty teenage daughter Ramona (Soni Nicole Bringas), all move in to help take care of D.J.'s three boys --the rebellious 12-year-old Jackson (Michael Champion), neurotic 7-year-old Max (Elias Harger) and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr (Messitt Twins). [official synopsis via Netflix]

March is going to be a really fun month because there are so many different things going on...

I'm covering some stores out of town for a co-worker, meaning I'll be traveling for work which I actually love to do. I also have a few birthday dinners to attend on the 3rd and 4th. Justin's parents always have a cabin that they rent out in the month of March in Shaver Lake, so we are going to spend the weekend up there in the second week of March. Hopefully there will be lots of snow. Then at the end of March, my best friend Heather will be visiting for a week. She got tickets for the Justin Bieber concert which is at the Savemart Center, so it will be really nice to visit her.

I hope you have a lovely Sunday. I'm currently watching Get Hard and laughing my ass off !!

Celebrity Hair Trend : Blonde Lob

I didn't realize until last nights 58th Annual Grammy Awards that the "lob" has official taken off into the next hair trend of the year. And by "lob", I mean the long bob that is becoming increasingly popular among a lot of celebrities lately.

Maybe the "new year, new me" saying had a lot to do with it, or the fact that it just looks stunning on a lot of people. Other's not pictured who are also rocking a blonde lob include: Carrie Underwood and Kate Hudson. I especially LOVE Jennifer Lawrence's color and cut. That photo was taken at the premiere of the last Hunger Games film and it's absolute perfection.

I can't even believe I'm saying this, but the last time I've been to the hair salon was October. *Gasp*. I know, my roots are so long overdue that it kind of created an unwanted ombre effect that isn't so bad now.

For my next appointment I was thinking of going a bit darker with the color, but I've been a dirty blonde for 23 years and I can't see myself with a dark head of hair. Although I would like to try something a little different, these photos have given me some serious hair-spiration. I'm really digging Lauren Conrad's color. We'll see what I end up doing, that is if I ever make up my mind!

But for some lucky workers, some benefits range from catered meals, to paid maternity and paternity leave, as well as lots of "extra" spending money.

Starbucks Releases 3 New Drinks for Valentine's Day

Yesterday, Starbucks released 3 new drinks for every chocolate-lover. Unfortunately they are only available for a week (Feb 8th-Feb 14th) up until Valentine's Day.

I'd say that Starbucks is a pretty dependable relationship in my life. When I want a satisfying drink, they never disappoint and are always there.

This week will be filled with a whole lotta chocolate love.
Molten Chocolate Latte
This drink has melted "chocolaty chips" in the espresso, and the steamed milk has a bittersweet mocha sauce in it. The whipped cream is infused with mocha sauce and espresso, and there is also an espresso mocha drizzle to top it off. You can get the latte iced or hot.

Molten Chocolate Frappuccino
This drink is a combination of coffee with "chocolaty chips" and mocha sauce blended with milk and ice. The whipped cream is infused with mocha sauce and espresso, and there is also an espresso mocha drizzle to top it off.

Molten Hot Chocolate
This drink has "chocolaty chips" and bittersweet mocha sauce melted into steamed milk. It is also topped with the espresso and mocha infused whipped cream and mocha drizzle.

These drinks truly look delicious. I look forward to trying a couple (if not all of them) this week. Call me a coffee connoisseur if you will. I wish they offered the espresso whipped cream all year round, that would be amazing!

Super Bowl 50 & Update

As you're probably aware yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday and in my opinion it was a really good game. I don't follow football at all, but I wanted the Broncos to win so Peyton Manning could have his Cinderella story which he did. We had a huge party at the house with lots of delicious junk food and good company. I didn't win any money in our football pool, however it was still a good time.
What I was looking forward to the most were the commercials. They are so fun and entertaining to watch and seem to be getting more creative every year. Out of all 57 that were shown throughout the game, I had a few favorites that caught my attention more than the others.

Doritos Ultrasound Commerical -- this was hilarious!

Heinz Wiener Stampede -- how can you not love a field of wiener dogs?!

Coca-Cola Mini : Ant Man vs. Hulk --the smallest and biggest super heroes brought together!

Hyundai "Ryanville" -- what a hottie; this made me giggle.

Mountain Dew Kickstart "PugMonkeyBaby" -- the funniest combination, EVER!

Caffeine with Christine : WHERE HAVE I BEEN?
I decided to take some advanced courses in selling and sales promotion as well as a computer class that has me learning code. I have been extra busy with real-world work, online work, and family festivities that has had me occupied more lately than I'd like to admit. I'd really like to get a "routine" down and a set schedule where I can continue to post on a daily basis. I plan on doing that soon. I hope you all had a wonderful Monday and continue to have a superb week.

How To Get Rid Of Dark Spots

Acne is bad enough on it's own without throwing the resulting dark spots into the mix. You go through all the work trying to conceal them, and just hen you think they are gone, you end up with an ugly dark spot.

The physical and emotional effects of acne can last a long time, especially if you had a rough battle with it in high school like myself. There isn't a magic wand that can get rid of them overnight, however; there are a few good products on the market that can really help.

I have a few spots in particular on the bag of my legs and inner thighs, as well as the back of my shoulder, that I want gone. I am on the hunt for the perfect products to get rid of them and with a lot of research, here are the best 8 products on the market:
1. Murad Post-Acne Spot Lightening Gel 1oz. $60
2. Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector 1oz. $49.50
3. Shiseido White Lucent Total Brightening Serum 1oz. $125
4. Kiehls Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution 1oz. $49.50
5. Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Aging Targeted Skin Tone Corrector 1oz. $125
6. Biosmose Dark Spot Corrector 1oz. $99
7. Guerlain Abeille Royale Dark Spot Corrector Pore Minimizer Serum 10z. $150
8. Fresh Peony Spot-Correcting Brightening Essence 1oz. $67

"Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation are red or brown marks that usually go away when you gently stretch out the skin", says NY based dermatologist Sejal Shah, MD. "These marks can take 3-6 months to go away on their own, and you can expedite the process with a diligent treatment of topical retinoids, Vitamin C serums, sunscreen, and over-the-counter brighteners."

What Causes Acne Marks & Scars?
"When your skin is opened up, like when you pop a pimple, and then closes back together, you can get abnormal pigmentation, texture, and tone that looks different from the rest of your skin."

Hair Trend - Underlights

I know that I personally wouldn't be able to dye my hair any unnatural colors for my job, but now there is a hair trend where maybe I can do that now!

Underlights are the new way to wear rainbow hair - in secret.

It's hard to be a risk taker without putting it all out there. If you've been obsessing over Instagram posts with bright colored hair, you just might be in luck to try it on your own locks.

"The process involves a colorist selecting only the underside of your hair to bleech, tone, and color, while either leaving the top section alone or dyeing it a more subtle shade."

Below are four Instagram worthy photos of some lovely colorful, yet subtle-enough hair.
I'd love to try out the four image, considering my hair is about that same color of blonde.
I wonder if I could pull it off.....!?

FUN FACT: The #underlights tag on Instagram already has over 5,000 posts.
